Approach
Our bilingual, play-based approach supports children’s development through meaningful everyday experiences. Children are naturally exposed to both English and Spanish through play, music, stories, conversations, and daily routines. We respect each child’s individual pace, culture, interests, and learning style while creating a nurturing environment where they feel safe, valued, and confident to explore, learn, and grow.
Approach
Our environment offers Spanish immersion program for young children with the commitment of teach them express and communicate fluently with others native Spanish speakers. In early childhood, however, these benefits increase. For example, daycare children that learn Spanish in early childhood can:
1) Open their minds earlier to explore different cultures. Imagine if you had been deeply immersed in another culture in early childhood and had a deeper understanding of different cultures of the world.
2) Enjoy enhanced mental development, including that of the language center of the brain.
3) Listen more carefully
4) Acquiring new language skills comes more naturally that it does for adults.
In daycare, your child may hear countless new words, and unconsciously absorb them in the same way you unconsciously learn song lyrics. If a child hears Spanish in early childhood, they might pick up the language without realizing it’s a second language.
At Amor D’ Luna Family Childcare, we create a warm, nurturing, and engaging environment where children feel safe to explore, play, and learn. Our spaces and daily experiences are thoughtfully designed to support each child’s individual needs, interests, and stage of development.
Philosophy
At Amor D’ Luna Family Childcare, we believe children learn best through meaningful play, exploration, and nurturing relationships. Our bilingual English–Spanish program combines play-based, nature-based, Montessori, and Waldorf-inspired experiences to support each child’s social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and language development. Children are encouraged to explore at their own pace through art, music, movement, sensory play, cooking, gardening, outdoor experiences, and hands-on activities. We respect each child’s unique interests, culture, learning style, and stage of development while creating a warm environment where they feel safe, valued, and confident to learn and grow.
Our daily schedule provides children with a consistent routine while allowing flexibility based on their individual needs, ages, interests, and development.
